How much does it cost?

The homes on our website generally range from $185-$375 per covered (framed) square feet. This includes garages, terraces and decks.   Of course, home sites requiring additional foundation or site work and challenging soil conditions, can add to this cost. Our home investment construction fees fall in the median range in comparison with premium luxury builders.

What about design fees? What about our Professional Pre- Construction Fees?

Our Professional Pre-Construction Retainer averages 2% of the estimated budget of the home to be built. The retainer is deducted from the final contract price of the home. Fees such as Architectural, Interior Design, Landscaping, Structural Engineering, etc. are paid separately by the homeowners based on the professional services retained and services performed.

How long will it take to build our home?

Construction time will depend on the overall scope of the project, but our homes typically fall in the range of 8-18 months for completion depending on weather, material availability, all selections made early and minimum changes.

Are Katz Builders fees competitive?

The adage of "You get what you pay for" has never been truer than when it applies to your most important and highest priced investment. Katz Builders focuses on value vs cost. Because we have many been in building/remodeling for many years and we track our projects, comparing one project to the other, we are able to narrow down costs and help streamline the design process. The Co-op allows the group to competitively purchase materials and services at discounts by creating purchasing volume with other builders/remodelers.

How do you get paid during construction?

Katz Builders, Inc., is paid as construction progresses. A draw schedule, is provided by your lender. This schedule is based on the work completed to date. Percentage of work completed determines the amount of payment at the time of the draw. Your lender will perform a site inspection, determining the level of completion only and fund, upon your authorization, according to progress. If there is no lender, then draw requests are submitted directly to you for payment.
